Although the mount was a little pricey, the quality and utility of it was worth it. Installation was a breeze, but does require some disassembly of the dash information center…this was made easier, by using a nylon tool designed to remove interior trim pieces that can be purchased at the local auto parts store, and are really inexpensive…for the price of the dash mount, it should be included in the box at no additional cost ( my only critique). The mount is top quality, with a slot to run all the cables through, I like not having charging cables all over the place. The bracket fits solidly in place and doesn’t move, I have mounted my Phone, GPS, and GoPro to it which puts accessibility to all three at your fingertips, without fumbling around.

Great step. Very sturdy. Easy to install - the only surprise was having to remove the GH1 sewer tube holder to allow room to install the provided bolts. I removed the 2 screws at the front of the holder to allow some flexibility to install the step plate bolts... and that was truly the longest/most difficult part of the install.

I built my own as a test run to make sure this was going to work for my situation. Problem was that it was too heavy because it was made out of 2x4 and plywood. This thing is much lighter much easier to carry and disconnect from the vehicle. It also has gives me storage on the bottom side. I’m 5’9” and it fits me well.
File under stuff I wish I bought earlier. Like all FVC products it is built to last, comes packaged beautifully, and has a great breakdown on how to install. This thing is super convenient and looks tough with our wheel mounted on the back.
Quick Notes:
I was able to shift our T2 Bike rack over and can get three bikes on.
Roof is accessible stepping up on the tire.
Be prepared for tough guy thumbs ups.

Bought these for my low roof sprinter and trimmed to fit. Easy to locate and a fit. They make the back of the van seem like it has so much less flex.
