We’ve designed this step to mount directly to the factory hitch using a robust steel plate to ensure that it is strong enough to be used as a recovery point for your vehicle. Machined eyelet mounts are welded in, so mounting your favorite recovery shackles (not included) is easy.

HEAVY-DUTY STEEL CONSTRUCTION

We constructed the Sprinter Rear Step with heavy-duty steel materials to last the lifetime of your van. The 1.5” steel tubing and steel plate make it solid and durable. It weighs approximately 30 pounds and is still strong enough to withstand whatever you throw at it.

DIMPLED TRACTION PLATES

Formed dimples in the steel steps give you the traction you need without being overly grippy, so there will never be a need to replace the traction. The dimples let the snow, mud, and debris fall through, so you won’t have to worry about build-up.

Van...
Flexible Design

This wasn't an easy install, but that is because my van had an after market trailer hitch on it that required me to drill holes in it to accept the step. Due to FVCO's flexible design, I was able to get a perfect fit even with my less-than-precise modifications. A well thought our product that is solid as a rock without looking like an over-engineered chunk of metal pulled from a M1 tank.

On a 2022 4x4 Sprinter, the exhaust needs to be modified because it is too close to the factory hitch and won't allow the bracket to be mounted. I have pics modification. Love my step.

Awesome Product, Easy Install

I received the Rear Tube Step for my Sprinter van very quickly, and it was amazingly easy to install. It took about 15 mins for me to install by myself! It is super sturdy and well made, and the size is perfect for getting into the rear of my van without sticking out too much. As advertised, it fits perfectly over my trailer hitch. I will definitely be ordering more products from Flatline!

Rear Step

Installation was straight forward. Well tested and solid construction. Easy to install. After testing the step on one trip, I think it could be an inch wider. It is a little narrow for my (PNW) big feet. The rear tube would look better (not preform better) if it was the same size as the 1-5/8" side step tube.
