The Sprinter Rear Door Platform is designed to give your 2019+ Sprinter (VS30) or 2020+ Winnebago Revel additional gear carrying capacity at the rear of the van. The unique aluminum round frame and mounting plate combination makes it stronger and more versatile than other Sprinter rear gear carriers on the market.

The combination of patterned mounting slots, and ½” and ⅜” holes, delivers endless mounting capabilities, and you can configure the platform to carry almost anything. The mountable surface area is 54” tall by 22 ¼” wide and sits flush with the tubing so there’s plenty of room for loading up additional gear. The suggested weight limit is 125lbs.

Add bikes with the 1Up tray, cargo boxes, MaxTrax, Rotopax, Snowboards/Skis, and more. We designed the platform to be incredibly versatile and also easy to swap out accessories as needed.

Installation is simple and straightforward and it only requires you to drill a single hole in the door. After years of R&D we’ve found that drilling is required if you want a sturdy and reliable rear platform without compromises or unappealing design features. The rear door platform is designed to mount to 180 degree hinges.

Sprinter rear door platform and posts

The sprinter rear door platform was quick and easy to install using their easy to follow instructions and template. However, after hauling two MTBs on the posts, I noticed that the platform seemed to be flexing more than it should. I contacted customer service and they responded right away, asked for a couple photos, diagnosed the issue (missing stitch welds that connect the platform to stabilizing braces), and they sent a new one that was flawless. I installed the new one in less than 15 minutes, attached the posts, and have been successfully hauling MTBs on one up bike trays ever since. I'd recommend the rear door platform and the posts without reservation.

    Another excellent product

I have the bed platform, low pro roof rack and a couple things and this Sherpa panel does not disappoint. Installation was Str8 forward. I needed help but just because I didn’t want to risk damaging the paint or dropping the panel. It can probably be done my one with tape to hold the bolts in place. Only thing to remember is not to over tighten the carriage bolt used to secure the Sherpa to the door panel otherwise it will distort the door panel. I overtightened mine and did not notice til I saw my work in the morning sun. Luckily I loosened the nut a quarter turn and the panel relaxed back into place. the Sherpa already sits tight to the door panel without tightening the carriage bolt. So just hand tight should be fine. The attachment to the door hinges are super solid and I think that’s where the forces are directed to. Overall an awesome product and useful addition to my van.
    Thanks
    Gabe

Add- after I wrote this review I decided to make and attach 1/8 rubber, I believe neoprene but it’s dense material, in between the panel brackets and hinges. That made a huge difference in how the bracket nearest the door handle was compressing the door panel. It relieved a lot of stress and know there is less to no visible I guess “denting” of the door panel next to the door handle. Plus the Sherpa is still solid as a rock. I’m anal like that I guess. Haha

    No hassle install

Take the guess work out of drilling a hole in your van with this door panel. Having a template on where to drill unlike other rear door panels sold me on this over other brands. Flatline never disappoints from the detailed instructions, careful packaging and top quality materials as always.

Thanks so much for the detailed and generous review - we really appreciate it and the continued support :)

Feel free to reach out if you need anything moving forward.

    Rear door gear carrier

Just got one of the first shipment of the rear door carrier, it was very well made and easy to install if you already have the 180* hinges. The only change I would like to see is more protection on the attachment to the door. Thicker rubber would be better IMO,
