The Transit Low Pro Roof Rack for the 148" Mid Roof is a durable and lightweight roof rack at an affordable price. This rack has all the versatility needed to mount gear and other accessories.

In March 2022, we redesigned the footers to be lower profile and even more robust, so the updated version hugs the roofline of the Transit better. We also include a UV-resistant ABS plastic wind fairing with the rack, which helps deflect the wind and keeps the weight down compared to Steel or Aluminum fairings.

This roof rack has all the versatility you need to mount up accessories, and the adjustable crossbars can move forwards or backward to accommodate fans or an AC unit. The crossbars are standard 10-series extrusion and 80/20 compatible, so bolting up accessories like solar panels, light bars, or MaxTrax is simple.

The side rails and crossbars are constructed from lightweight aluminum and powder-coated black. The footers and hardware are stainless steel, and the footers are designed to bolt directly to the factory Ford Transit roof holes for a straightforward installation. The rubber footer gaskets and rubber sealing washers keep the roof of your van watertight.

Transit Roof Rack - Fiamma F45S Compatible
FIAMMA F45S COMPATIBLE

The Fiamma F45S bolts directly to our rack, so there's no need for drilling our cutting. We designed our Transit roof rack with the awning in mind. There's no gap between the top of your van and the bottom of your awning that would allow wind and rain in.

Mid Roof Low Pro 2.0 + Ladder

Love the new design of the Mid Roof Low Pro. Easier to install than I thought, except for the new fairing, which looks GREAT, but was pretty tricky to get in place. The gasket does not fit tightly which is not a problem once installed in place, but was a challenge before that point. Ended up temporarily using masking tape to keep it in place until fully tightened down. Ladder went up very smoothly. Great products and great service!

Thanks for taking the time to review, Lance! We'll be sure to share this helpful feedback with our product team to take note of!

Great Product!

So glad the new rack is out! Installation took a lot longer than expected, but I take most of the credit for that! Ended up putting the second rail together on the ground then installing it. The rack is super solid, no noted road noise or change in driving, the plastic front fairing is way more solid than I would have imagined. So happy with this product and with the amazing customer support! FVCO rocks!

Awesome to hear! Thank you so much for the kind words and support, we really appreciate it!

Not compatible with low roofs

I'll still leave 5 stars for the service and the ease of putting the rack together. But....don't buy this for a low roof without inspecting your roof first unless you are okay drilling new holes in the metal.

I know there is a review up here for a 2018 low roof transit that was a good fit, and flatline states they also expect it to fit, but i can confirm that (after getting started on putting the rack together), that some model year transits (Mine, sadly, a 2016) have 6 mount points, as opposed to the 8 points on high roofs - pic attached. And the spacing is different so you will have to drill new holes in the rack. And the furthest forward point is not as far forward as you'd like, so the the front of the rack will not support as much weight, and will not be as stable as it will be on vans with 8 mount points. Ah well, time to get to drilling...

Thanks, Steve! We only recommend this for 2015+ Ford Transit 148 Mid Roof Vans but we are glad you were able to DIY the install and make it work!

Excellent rack

I chose this rack for its reported ease of installation and the fact that the crossbars can be positioned anywhere and not just in fixed positions. I installed it by myself in under 2 hours and am very happy with it. Looks great and is perfect for my needs to hold solar panels and a roof deck. I especially like that the crossbars are about an inch or so below the tops of the side rack… allowing the solar panels to remain almost hidden from view from the ground. I communicated with the Flatline team on a few occasions before making my purchase and they were awesome.
