The Transit Trail Side Ladder is custom-designed for the high roof Transit Trail van with factory running boards and bolts directly to our FVC Transit roof racks. Enjoy easy access to the roof of your van without any need to modify or remove the factory running board side steps.

Our side ladder for the Ford Transit Trail has 1.25” aluminum round tube with formed and dimpled flat steps that provide the traction and stability you want when climbing up on the roof or accessing your roof rack. The double kink in the ladder matches the lines of the Ford Transit for a clean look. The Transit Ladder mounts to the factory side steps on the Trail model at the base and one of our high roof Transit Low Pro or Safari racks at the top.

All installation hardware comes included. The installation takes about an hour or less using standard hand tools. Skip the pain of pulling out a ladder each time you want to access your roof rack and safely climb up to clear snow or debris off your solar panels or climb up to your rooftop deck and lounge after a long day of adventuring in your camper van.

Perfect fit for HR EXT Transit Trail

Due to the OEM running boards on the Transit Trail we were having difficulty finding a ladder. Initially we were trying to avoid a ladder. But the cheap telescoping ladder was too unstable on uneven surfaces and snowy parking lots. And it takes up a lot of interior space. Although expensive, we are super impressed with the design and finish of the FVCo ladder. High quality and perfect fit. Since we didn't have a FVCo roof rack I had to drill two small 3/8" holes in the our roof rack side rails. The result is a super solid ladder. Highly recommended.

Works great. Easy to install - I have an AVC rack and had to drill a couple holes to mount it, but no problems.

Finally a Trail Specific Ladder!

This thing is awesome and well worth the wait. Super strong, lightweight, and hugs the van nicely! Install was a breeze. Bolts on within about 30min-1hr.
