I purchased the spare tire carrier for my 2016 Transit awhile ago. With the purchase came the Rotopax adapter. I recently put it on the carrier and mounted the gas can to the adapter. There was some wobble where the little threaded knob lock put pressure on the cylinder of the tire carrier . Taking it apart I realized that the fit between the two was not tight. I had to wrap the pipe with two layers of duct tape and then drill a hole in the pipe for the threads of the knob to be inside the pipe. It worked. The wobble worried me, not that it would come off but wobbles can turn into oopses.
