The low pro roof rack Is nothing but sick! It looks bad ass up there. And I installed it myself off a step ladder. Thanks so much!!! The awning is next!!!
The roof rack was out of stock when I was initially looking to purchase one, however the email notification process worked well and shortly after being notified the roof rack was delivered.
Customer service from the Flatline team was excellent as was my first impression of the product.
Emailed PDF Installation instructions were simple and effective. Installation to owner installed roof rails was extremely easy (2016 MB Sprinter 170 4x4). Modular design provides great flexibility depending on your exact roof layout or anticipated use.
Early days but it seems to be a well designed and manufactured product which is supported by great customer service. Ideal start. 10/10.
This rack looks awesome on top of my 2019 Sprinter 170" 4x4. Ot was very easy to install, extremely high quality manufacturing, and highly modular. I was able to fit in 2x fans, the Fiamma awning, and 500W of solar. Highly recommended. Plus they have excellent customer service too!
Quality, functionality, design, and ease of install are what put this rack on the shortlist of the very best Sprinter Racks on the Market. When you factor in the very reasonable purchase price and easy DIY install, it likely moves into the very top of that list.
The aluminum extrusions provide vast amounts of adjustability to easily mount solar panels, lighting, decking or surfboard crossbars. There are holes all along the top that provide tons of places to hook up a tie down strap to secure a load.
The entire rack weights less than 50#....the less weight way up high on a Sprinter, the better.
The installation is super simple and easy for one person, as all the assembly is done in place on the roof. The difference between FVC and the other Sprinter racks on the market is there is not a 14' long massive beast of a rack to manhandle up on to the roof of a van 9+ feet in the air.
The install took me a (very leisurely) 2 hours, as I moved the crossbars around a couple times to get my ideal layout....it was fulfilling and fun to install.....moving the ladders around was probably more work than actually installing the rack.
All hardware is quality and nothing was missing or damaged when it arrived.......I do recommend using anti-seize on the stainless bolts to prevent galling.
I am super stoked on this product, the other FVC products I have purchased, and the guys that run FVC.....everything is top class.
I would 100% buy again.
My low profile rack system on my 170 4x4 sprinter with dual sliding doors has worked out perfectly. The Fiamma awnings are snug to the body, keeping them out of the wind and giving a stealthy look. Overall weight is quite low but plenty strong to walk on. Most important part to me is that I can simply slide and/or add the cross bars to any position as my build continues.
Thanks so much guys!
