The 2019+ Sprinter Van Tire Carrier mounts to the back of your van and is hands-down the best spot for mounting your spare tire. The Sprinter rear door tire carrier frees up valuable space underneath your van, so you can add water tanks or an auxiliary fuel tank where the stock spare tire was stowed. The rear door tire carrier also makes it possible to store a larger-than-stock tire which is important if you've upgraded to oversized tires for better off-road performance.

Each Mercedes Sprinter tire carrier is made from lightweight and durable aluminum construction, and includes an adjustable lock rod designed to accommodate different wheel sizes.

Installing your Sprinter spare tire carrier is quick, easy, and requires basic hand tools and drilling. After years of R&D we’ve found that drilling is required if you want a sturdy and reliable rear door tire carrier without any compromises or unappealing design features.

Adjustable Lock Rod for different wheels (Compatible with traditional hitch lock)
Fits all tire sizes up to 285 without any alterations. Please note that tires over 275/70R17 may occasionally trip the sensor in the rear light assembly
Only compatible with 180 degree hinges
Includes 14x1.5 wheel studs, 65mm length (can accept up to a 15mm spacer) - 10.9 grade hardness in a black zinc finish

Great Product

We received our tire rack 4 days after ordering, and installed it today. Woke up to 24⁰ so had to wait for the temp to come up a bit. We are in our late sixties and had absolutely no problem with installation. Instructions were so very clear, both PDF and YouTube. Highly recommend!

Light weight and easy install

The tire carrier was very light (20 lbs) and easy to install. I installed it solo, using a prop to hold it up to level it. You do need a 19mm(3/4 inch) rubber grommet for the inside hole if you use the supplied step bit. It doesn't go large enough for the supplied plug. I did use silicone between the rubber washer and the van and around the screw that went through the body, just in case.

There many options out there, but I would recommend this company and their products to everyone. The spare tire carrier is easy for a DIYer to install. I like that I was able to add a trailer coupler latch lock for security. Highly recommend.
