Lead the pack with the FVC Mercedes Sprinter Front Bumper! Having been in the adventure van market for over a decade, we've seen many front bumper options come out over the years. We were dissatisfied with the only options being huge, heavy, and bulky or so small that they offered almost no additional protection or functionality, so we decided to develop our own front bumper.

We spent countless hours developing a better Sprinter Front Bumper that's adaptable to fit your needs, has a best-in-class strength-to-weight ratio, and has the styling to turn heads on the trail.

Our full-width bumper gives your van a more aggressive look, adds protection, and has plenty of options for customization with off road lighting, shackles, winch, and fairlead, all without interfering with any factory sensors on your Sprinter van.

At the core of our Mercedes Sprinter Front Bumper is a heavy-duty 6mm steel winch cradle that serves as the core structural support for the winch and recovery points. Built to accept the Warn VR Evo, the steel winch cradle bolts to structural locations on the van and transfers forces from the winch and recovery points effectively to the Mercedes Sprinter chassis.

The cradle also serves as the mounting point for our full width aluminum front bumper. Our bumper is made of 3mm aluminum to keep unnecessary weight off the front of the van, while still offering full frontal coverage that wraps the width of the van and even under the DEF tank (diesel vans), all without sacrificing approach angle. The bumper allows you to keep your OEM fog lights and includes mounting for two pod lights on either side of the winch.

Included park sensor bezels allow you to transfer your OEM sensors and wire harness to our bumper with a simple snap. Our bumper also integrates new mounting for the active cruise control sensor for full OEM parking sensor functionality.

Behind the sleek design of the Sprinter Front Bumper you will find a built-in wire chase to keep your OEM wire harness protected from getting pulled into your winch. You will also find plenty of well thought out wire management holes and slots, allowing you to zip tie your added winch or off road lighting wire harnesses safely and securely with ease.

Going off the beaten path? Our Sprinter Front Bumper is designed to work with lift kits and oversized tires, and the large 5mm aluminum skid plate provides added protection from obstacles that may come your way.

The Sprinter front bumper can be purchased with or without the Skid Plate and Bull Bar. The large Skid Plate adds protection to the bottom of the engine and oil pan. The Bull Bar makes for an ideal location to add Baja Designs LP6 Pro LED Lights, offering 22 inches of mounting width for lighting. The bumper has two cutouts tailored for a pair of Baja Designs Squadron Sport LED Light Pods - or add four Squadron Sport Light Pods in place of adding a winch.

Installation of the bumper requires detailed cutting of the Mercedes Sprinter Van OEM bumper cover, and a cut template comes included. Check out our Installation Guide for more details.

WINCH READY

The front bumper comes winch ready. It fits winches up to 24.25” L x 7.15” D x 10.52” H with a 10” x 4.5” bolt pattern. We like the Warn VR Evo 12-S or Zeon 12-S Platinum winch. Don’t forget our Winch Fairlead to go with it.

EQUIPPED FOR LIGHTING

The Sprinter Front Bumper has two cut outs for the Baja Squadron Sport LED Light Pods, and the optional Bull Bar can fit lights up to 6” in diameter. Skipping a winch? You can mount up to four more Squadron Sport lights in place of a winch.

DESIGNED TO PROTECT

Our front bumper for Mercedes Sprinter Vans provides full-width frontal coverage and fits tight to the van for a clean look. The bumper wraps around the bottom, protecting the DEF tank on diesel vans. The Skid Plate option offers protection for your engine making it especially beneficial for exploring off the beaten path.

Great front bumper

Fits great with curves of van, great installation instructions, great looking and quality! The nudge bar, lights, and winch add the final touch. Best option I found out there.

FVCO NEVER DISAPPOINTS

I’ll first start by saying the bumper is well thought out, the install instructions paired with the video make it easy to DIY install. However there’s a couple things I’d change about them. I would suggest not to install the inner wheel well fender liners until after you have centered the FVCO bumper skin and replaced the factory bumper skin and secured them both. Then you’ll need to cut the fender liners to shape and install both sides the way the video recommends to install the passenger side. I’ll add that there’s a hole in the fender liners after cutting the 90° section off. I used a piece of ABS to fill that hole so there not a gaping hole in the fender liners for road debris to fly into. Another major note I will say to add another piece of ABS plastic to the back side of the ACC Radar box. This fully encloses the radar from any debris and gives better protection for the wires from winch spool.

I decided to go with the Badland Apex 12000 synthetic winch. This winch technically does not fit. The motor and gear of the winch run into the lips on the winch cradle. I used a 1/2 spacer under the winch and was able to clear the cradle. In lifting the winch it now is a tight fit to get your hand in there to manipulate the winch gear. I’ll prolly notch the bumper some day but for now I’m using a hook and it works just fine. So I guess it does fit. Another option you could cut off the little section of lip on the cradle but I decided not to.

I love the skid plate integration and overall it’s a great looking bumper. Very satisfied with the project.

Pics show camera view unobstructed, backer plate for radar, and installed fender liner with backer plate.

winch seems great but power cables are not as Warn states

I have this installed and was wiring up the power and cut the cables to shorten (placing power posts in the bumper). I contacted Warn to find out the gauge wire and they said 2 AWG. I blindly ordered 2 AWG lugs only to find they were WAY too big. Upon urther investigation I determined that they power cables are actually 4 AWG. Therefore be aware if you're making a long run. I think the V drop is still OK but YMMV. Also, the wires that exit the back of the winch stick out such that it's going to be impossible to prevent them from rubbing up against the (I think) AC condenser coils. I will have to fabricate something to prevent that (chaffing of the cables eventually could be VERY bad as the hot side is a direct connect to the battery.. not fused)..
