Ford Transit Low Pro Roof Rack Installation Guide (Video)

Video Transcript

We are going to show you how to install your FVC Low Pro Roof Rack on a 148 Ford Transit. First off, let's go over the parts that come in our Transit roof rack installation kit. You have four side rails, these guys, crossbars, and all the feet. The way you're going to know where everything goes is the pill slotted sides for the ladder go on the driver's side. The other side is going to make sense because it's the only two left. You're going to have a connection piece in the middle, the sides connecting the front and back. The crossbars can go anywhere you like, and we'll go over how everything mounts to the roof here in a second.

Step 1: Remove the factory plugs on the roof and clean up all of the excess glue.

Step 1 - Ford Transit Roof Rack installation

Step 2: Mount the footer bracket. You’ll need to place the rubber gasket then the footer and the washer, and lastly the bolt.

Step 2 - Ford Transit Roof Rack Install

Step 3: The next step is to mount the side rails. Note: leave these bolts a little loose for now.

Step 3 - Ford Transit Roof Rack Install

Step 4: Next, you’ll mount the joining plate in the middle.

Step 4 - Ford Transit Roof Rack Install

Step 5: The last step is to tighten the side rail bolts.

Step 5 - Ford Transit Roof Rack Install

Today we installed the rack and front wind guard on our 2020 transit
We watched your video, and followed the instructions and it went very well!
    Everything fit together easily-
    Packaging was great (for shipping)
Got it super fast- and appreciated the follow up email with all info
    Very well built-
I have a prinsu on my 4 runner and this one was easier to put together.
One question: should I lock tight the 8 bolts going onto the roof to hold all down? I didn’t
Should I use any extra sealant anywhere?
I didn’t add any of the above
Thanks again for making a great product and taking pride in your work- It shows!
    Best- Jarrett
