Really well made roof rack. Definitely recommend watching the installation videos in detail but it’s not super complicated to put up. Can be done by one person but will take about a day to install, maybe more if you need to expand the OEM holes in the roof to get to the M8 threads like I had to. I installed a sun deck on it with Trex boards. Plan to put a solar panel on it too.
Attached a Dometic 9500 awning to it. Worked great.
The fairing works great. I had a 52" light bar on the front with a lot of wind vibration. I put the fairing on and moved the light to the top of the 8020 bar and that solved the problem. Great product!
Front Fairing - Transit Low Pro Roof Rack
Easy to install with one person. Helps with noise.
Without the fairing, wind noise caused by the channels in the extruded aluminum cross bars is pretty annoying/stressful. After we installed the fairing, we didn’t notice any wind noise at all. Great purchase. Main feedback/heads-up: install the cross bar onto the fairing first. Then attached whole unit to side rails. In order to tighten down the screws, you’ll need to use a Vice grip or pliers to hold an Alan bit to tighten the screws in the tight space between the folds of the fairing.
